I have waited for Kaden and Ashley to get their story since I finished reading Fighting for a Second Chance. Kaden has always been the mature, stoic loner who only does one night stands. Never allowing any woman to get close to him outside of his best friend. Ashley is a single mother who put her trust into the wrong person and experienced the ultimate betrayal. She is a master of survival, but she’s barely surviving, but is way too stubborn to ask for help.
Kaden is in love with Ashley, but is unwilling to make the jump from friends to lovers for his own reasons. It’s no mystery to her or their friends that she’s in love with Kaden, but since he isn’t able to give more of himself than their friendship and being there for her and her son Tristan, she keeps her feelings to herself, which gets harder to do when Kaden needs her help to make his family happy and solve her problems at the same time. Not to mention he really won’t take no for an answer, but she’s been taking care of herself and Tristan for so long she doesn’t know how to accept help. Until she’s in over her head and can’t find her way out.
I loved Kaden and Ashley. Their story was well worth the wait. Watching their love blossom, their relationship change and how Kaden is with Tristan made Fighting for Your Love everything I wanted and waited for. This is not an angsty or emotionally draining book. This is all about watching these two friends grow into their relationship and learning to put their fears aside to allow themselves to have what they both need and deserve… each other.
Nikki Ash I need your next book already!!!!!!!!
As with Fighting for a Second Chance (Cooper & Liz), Fighting with Faith (Bentley &a Kayla), and Fighting for Your Touch (Caleb & Hayley), Fighting for Your Love can be read as a stand alone, but it’s much easier to place all of the friends and get the back story if you read them in order.
